Ronald Eugene Cunningham
Ronald E. Cunningham, age 78 of Sherwood, passed away on September 10th, 2016 in Sherwood, AR. He was born on September 3rd, 1938 in Little Rock, AR; he was the son of Kelvin M. Cunningham and Priscilla Southerland.
Ronald was a Veteran of the United States Army and after discharge he retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service. He was very active in raising his children and coaching for the Sherwood Optimist Club. He was a member of the US Postal Workers Union and the AR Archeological Society. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting and collecting, fishing, hunting and reading. He was a very intellectual and fun loving man; he will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Parents and Sister.
Survivors include his wife Willie Mae Martin Cunningham; his daughter Melanie (Danny) Winters; his sons Kelvin S. (Julia) Cunningham, Ronald L. “Larry” Cunningham; niece Jamie Stancil Lee and his grandchildren Lezli, Tyler, Jarrid, John, Kyle, DeShay, Danielle, Kingston and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on September 19th, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood, AR.
Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, AR.
Visitation will be September 19th, 2016 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood, AR.
